This room takes its name from one of the most tangled tales of smuggling dynasties in the county.

Family members with several different names and spellings, wives who were in fact sisters, daughters who, research shows, were men, conspire to make the story of John Fynn and his wife/sister Black Joan.

Fynn can be configured as a twin or a large, 6 foot, double. Fresh white linens and blue accents are subtle reminders of your stay at the seaside as if the view from the window wasn’t reminder enough!

Soft toweling dressing gowns, slippers, hairdryer, tea and coffee making facilities, alarm clock (if you need it!), a small fridge to keep the milk fresh and the water cold and ideal for those holiday ‘essentials’ you may need – we even provide a corkscrew and glasses, television with freeview and integral dvd player and finally, we are wi-fi enabled, all of which we hope will make your stay second to none.

There’s even an easy chair for relaxation or somewhere to sit while you wait for your partner or friend to get ready!

The separate, private bathroom is decorated to the same high standard as the room, albeit with a touch of the owner’s humour, with bath, shower and toilet, toiletries and glass shelving unit.

“Beautifully spacious room, so nicely decorated and we just loved the quirky bathroom.  All round, it’s the attention to detail that sets this place apart.” Chris & Jo, Melton Mowbray.
