The world famous Eden Project is approximately 45 minutes drive from us here in Looe and is a very popular place with guests. But it’s not just for lovers of exotically wonderful plants and tropical rainforests, it also has its own waterfall and a lookout area high amongst the treetops.  It also plays host to a seasonal ice rink and to music concerts throughout the year.  For more details on events, ticket, prices, etc., visit www.edenproject.com.

Calling All Foodies..

Sunday, June 13th, 2010

Did you know that Looe has three current TASTE OF THE SOUTH WEST Gold award winning restaurants in its midsts?  Trawler’s on The Quay, Barclay House (with also has 2 AA Rosettes), The Plough at Duloe (okay… so just outside of Looe!).  With Michelin star chef, Nathan Outlaw, due to open on the Quayside in Looe in Spring, it reaffirms Looe’s growing reputation as a destination venue for any foodie.

We also have other great restaurants such as Squid Ink, Mawgans, Morrells, a fab Thai – Ocean and Earth, Papa Nino’s (Italian), Zute’s (Looe’s newest eaterie – try the fantastic Cornish clotted cream creme brulee), and many more.  The Courtyard is ideal for a spot of al fresco dining (does fab fish and chips).

Looe’s food and drink festival takes place on the 29th/30th June 2013.  A marquee in the Millpool, overlooking the stunning East Looe River, will play host to food and drink demonstrations by local, award winning chefs and some of the best food producers and suppliers in the South West.
